Korea’s communication market rapidly changed as the Mobile Phone Subsidy Law had taken effect on October 1^st in 2014. Mobile phone subsidies cut down, and their transaction declined by more than half. But now a new recommendation is out for abolishing or reforming the law. Consumers choose the low fee payment plan as mobile phone subsidy has decreased, and they unwillingly choose old-fashioned mobile phones. The government and some lawmakers insist that consumer’s choosing low fee payment plan is a usual practice and telecommunication fee declines as a result. But, this is their way of thinking. Only mobile carriers get benefits from the Mobile Phone Subsidy Law. Therefore, it is right to abolish the Mobile Phone Subsidy Law. There will be no governments all over the world forbidding consumers from buying cheap mobile phones.
