The School of Business and Technology Management in the College of Business at KAIST invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor position, depending on the candidate's qualifications, with a specialization in operations and supply chain management. The anticipated start date is March 1, 2026.
Candidates must have earned or be expected to earn a PhD in supply chain management, operations management, management science, industrial engineering, or a closely related field by the date of employment.
Candidates at the Assistant Professor level must demonstrate the potential to publish high-quality research in top-tier refereed journals, as well as the potential to effectively teach courses in supply chain management, operations management, and/or business analytics. Candidates at the Associate Professor level must demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, industrial projects, and service. They must possess an established record of high-quality publications in top-tier refereed journals, as well as the demonstrated ability to effectively teach courses in supply chain management, operations management, and/or business analytics. The awarding of tenure within the College of Business requires publications in top-tier refereed journals.
The individual hired will be expected to teach courses in supply chain management, operations management, and/or business analytics at the undergraduate and graduate levels, to engage in scholarly activities and produce high-quality refereed publications, and to participate in departmental, college, university, and professional service.
The School of Business and Technology Management (BTM) in the KAIST College of Business, located in the Main Campus (Daejeon) in Korea, has a diverse faculty engaged in research and teaching across a wide array of business fields, including management, economics, and entrepreneurship. The BTM faculty members focus on publishing frontier research in top journals while providing instruction in research methods and practical business skills. Research areas are continually expanding to encompass the effective management of new technologies and the development of innovative mechanisms for creating economic value. The School offers BS, MS, and PhD Programs in Business and Technology Management. Graduate programs include options such as an MS/PhD in Innovation and Technology Management, an MS in Bio Innovation Management, as well as various specialized programs (e.g., Executive AIB). The curriculum integrates the most advanced knowledge in management and technological innovation.
