Professor Hong Hyu Lee received an award 2015 with the 44th Anniversary of KAIST Celebration.

He established KAIST Social Technology Innovation Lab. He works to develop technology and policy for social problem solving and supporting the vulnerable members of society.

He constructed Idea Factor in KAIST in an effort to provide students with free experimental space, and thereby made a new platform of engineering education.

Idea Factory guided by professor Lee manufactured 30 prototypes in a year and acquired two of applications for patents. Also, they developed 3D printer and successfully commercialized.
